The only question is, does this ad sell beef sandwiches and fries? Does this communication build positive associations with the brand, or favorably distinguish it from the competition? Because let’s agree that Burger King already has brand awareness.

I dare say no. The brand aims to win beauty and creativity contests, which certainly pleases the creative departments and makes everyone telegram marketing feel very intelligent. Personally, however, I think that advertising should have a business effect first and a cultural effect second. That is its “greatness.” 

Burger King’s Hot Campaign

Burger King is turning 70 this year and is celebrating its birthday with a unique advertising campaign.
